Making Place: The recalibration of Work, Life and Place

The pandemic has accelerated a shift in working habits across the globe, bringing the social, cultural and economic importance of placemaking into focus.

This timely report proposes a new urban design practice of ‘workplacemaking’ that aims to bring together typically corporate and civic territories, to recalibrate modern office culture.

In collaboration with IPUT, we analyse what employees gain from working in an office and how the office building can adapt to make a greater contribution to the social, economic and environmental resilience of our towns and cities.
