The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and Arup present a progress report of the Market Transformation Action Agenda (MTAA), 18 months after its launch in March 2024. Endorsed by over 80 organisations, this report reviews the built environment sector’s progress in addressing net zero transformation and lays the groundwork for continued momentum.

The report takes stock on the 11 strategic interventions that, if achieved within the next 2 to 3 years, could unlock building decarbonisation at scale. It spotlights where business and policymakers are making progress, providing a playbook ahead of COP30 to inform policy with proven leadership and strengthen international coordination.
