Arup and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation are proud to introduce their new Circular Building Design Toolkit during Glasgow’s COP26 climate conference.
Buildings account for 37% of global greenhouse gas emissions, with construction materials losing around 95% of their value during demolition. Designed to help building designers, construction clients and asset owners and operators, the tool provides a practical framework and tools to enable stakeholders across the building lifecycle to optimise assets for circularity.
Developed by Arup and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the Circular Building Design Toolkit brings together strategies, case studies and tools for designing more circular buildings, meaning reduced waste and carbon for a healthier planet and healthier people.
