The Arup and URS consortium have been appointed onto the Department for Transport’s Transport-related Technical and Engineering Advice and Research (T-TEAR) Framework for Road and Rail.
Under the Framework, Arup and URS will support the Department for Transport, the Highways Agency and other Public Sector bodies in the provision of road and rail-related technical consultancy and research.
The Framework will deliver a broad supply chain comprising recognised transport specialists from universities and suppliers, in particular small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It will also will be working across a wide range of solutions, from addressing environmental issues, such as developing low carbon technologies, through to financial considerations, such as funding mechanisms and infrastructure investment decisions.
