For the sixth year in a row, Arup is proud to be recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers, in a competition organized by Mediacorp. Canada Inc.

The competition, now in its 17th year, evaluates each employer against eight criteria – physical workplace; work atmosphere and social life; health, financial, and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement. Employers are evaluated against other organizations in their industry and selected based on their outstanding human resource programming and forward-thinking, inclusive workplace practices.

This year, Arup was recognized for:

  • Investing in ongoing employee professional development, offering tuition subsidies for job-related courses and financial bonuses for completing certain courses

  • Helping employees balance their work-life commitments by offering a variety of flexible work arrangements, including flexible hours, compressed work weeks, and telecommuting, and four weeks of vacation allowance to start

  • Offering profit-sharing for all employees, including generous referral bonuses for employees who successfully refer a candidate from their personal networks

Arup has also been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People in 2022, in recognition of Arup’s excellent networking and development programs, which includes the internship program which involves an orientation, networking opportunities, panels with leaders and recent graduates and internship projects. In addition, we partner with Toronto Metropolitan University to pair female Arup technical leads with female engineering students, and offer a networking event series for early-career professionals.

Arup has had a presence in Canada since 1999, with offices in Toronto and Montreal. Arup helps to create the future of cities by delivering innovative work on transportation, healthcare, education, advisory, sustainability and infrastructure projects in collaboration with clients in the public and private sectors.
