Arup has won the 2020 Best Project Management award by Aedip, the Spanish Association of Integrated Project Management, in recognition for its work on the future headquarters of a leading Spanish insurer group.

The 25-floor Méndez Álvaro II Complex in Madrid’s business district (CBD) was designed by Estudio Lamela and developed by Colonial. The 37,500 m2 development will house 2,200 employees and features large common areas and equipment such as a dining room, a gymnasium and its own data center. The use of BIM technology enabled Sacyr to fast-track the construction process.

We are grateful to Aedip for this recognition in project management and for their efforts in promoting the value of project management, consolidating the office sector. ” Estrella Giraldo Associate Director

Arup's project management team is coordinating the more than 25 stakeholders involved in this development using advanced information tools. Arup is also helping the client to manage the LEED Platinum certification of the building, aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
