Arup’s Architecture practice has been included in the AJ100, the Architects’ Journal’s definitive list of the biggest UK architectural practices for 2020.

Published annually since 1995, the list gives a snapshot of the number of ARB qualified architects employed in the UK. The Architects’ Journal also examines areas such as international activity, practice diversity and awards won throughout the year. In terms of income from international practice Arup, with a global Architecture team of more than 250 now sits in the top 20 AJ100 practices.

For the first time, this year’s survey focused in on issues of sustainability, asking a series of questions on our approach. The list is also linked to the AJ100 awards where we are delighted to have been shortlisted for sustainability Initiative of the Year, for our pioneering circular economy façade at 1 Triton Square as well as for Collaboration of the Year with Lendlease and British Land on this ground-breaking refurbishment project. Winners will be announced in September.

The announcement is a testament to the efforts of the UK team as well as our global colleagues to deliver projects that shape a better world through buildings and places that are purposeful, simple, efficient and beautiful.
