Henry Chan has rejoined Arup’s Hong Kong office to lead the venue consulting practice. He will work to strengthen our service offerings in venue design, acoustics, lighting and audio-visual consulting to clients.
With over 20 years of experience in acoustic engineering, audio-visual and lighting design, Henry is particularly interested in performing arts buildings and experienced in developing ‘art tech’ such as virtual reality and immersive sound in theatres.
Henry has also been involved in a number of outdoor live concerts and performances in the Central Harbourfront Event Space, including the Clockenflap and Dragonland music festivals, working closely with the event organisers and stage production teams to develop the sound system and noise control measures.
With his design and management skills in a diverse range of projects, Henry will be leading the team to further improving our venue consulting services.
