Madrid is hosting Arup’s Europe Region 2019 Graduate event, with around 90 recent graduates attending a three-day programme packed with workshops and activities. The event, running between 6th-8th of November, offers graduates the opportunities to come together and learn about what makes Arup different: our approach to our work, our client-focus and our values.
Encompassing more than 25 nationalities, the 2019 Europe Region graduate cohort represents more than 35 disciplines such as digital services, project management, civil engineering, sustainability consultancy, transport planning and communications.
Sessions will cover Arup’s digital strategy, our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at work; as well as our firm’s commitment to sustainable development, including a challenge where grads will be asked to design initiatives that support our ambitions.
The graduates will also hear about our range of Community Engagement activities and hear the stories from our colleagues who have been on international assignment.
The Graduate Induction offers a chance to visit the host city: the grads will get a chance to visit an exhibition covering our work on the Madrid Nuevo Norte masterplan- one of Europe’s largest urban regeneration projects to date; and visit our ImmersionLab, a state-of-the-art immersive audio and visual experience that harnesses the latest digital technology to deliver real-life simulations of real or projected spaces.
