The Neuron Health team won the COVID-19 Achievement Award at CIBSE Hong Kong Awards 2021.

The coronavirus pandemic has made indoor air quality a major health priority, not only for building operators but also for the users. To minimise the threat of airborne pathogen transmission, the Neuron Health system allows a real-time measurement of temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide, and identifies the levels of potential pathogens in the air. Its predictive modelling capability gives building operators visibility of high-risk conditions and ensures prompt and most cost-effective actions are adopted to ensure the best air quality, leading to a healthier indoor environment.

The system has incorporated the local IAQ Certification Scheme and international standards such as WELL and RESET Standard, providing a benchmark for certification in the future.

The CIBSE Hong Kong Awards recognise the people, products and projects that demonstrate engineering excellence in the built environment, focusing on actual, measured performance.

We are very proud to have developed a system that brings about healthier buildings for their occupants. With its data-driven approach, the system offers additional level of insight and control that is not only environmentally responsible but will also lead to more resilient and sustainable buildings, ready for the challenges of tomorrow. ” (c) Arup Felix Chan Senior Engineer
