Six Arup staff named in the Top 50 Women in Engineering: Sustainability awards 2020

Six Arup staff have been named in the Top 50 Women in Engineering: Sustainability awards (WE50), which celebrates International Women in Engineering Day, this year in collaboration with UNESCO UK.

The Women’s Engineering Society (WES) produces the annual WE50, which this year focuses on women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) who are involved in the creation or delivery of sustainable strategies and solutions – helping to address the global climate change challenge and the delivery of Net Zero Carbon and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The six Arup staff who have been named in the WE50 2020 are:

  • Clare Lavelle, Energy Consultancy Leader for the North (Edinburgh office)

  • Ritu Garg, Senior Planner in Transport Consulting (London office)

  • Jennifer Kelly, Associate, Climate Change & Sustainability (Manchester office)

  • Martha Hart, Senior Energy Consultant (Sheffield office)

  • Adele Carey, Sustainability Specialist (Leeds office)

  • Laura Frost, Associate in Energy, Cities & Climate Change (London office)

A further five have been highly commended by WES for their contributions to the industry this year:

  • Lucie Barouillet, Product Manager, Advanced Digital Engineering (London office)

  • Kara Brussen, Sustainability Consultant (Cardiff office)

  • Ayisha Paw, Civil Engineer (London office)

  • Jo Spencer, Structural Engineer (Newcastle office)
