Organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Project Management (HKIPM), the awards aim to recognise and promote organisations and individuals that demonstrate excellence and outstanding achievements in project and programme management in Hong Kong.

The CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC) was named a winner in the Construction / Engineering category. The state-of-the-art facility is Hong Kong’s first smart hospital, providing 516 inpatient beds, 90 day beds, 28 operating rooms and 56 consultation rooms, designed to serve the society by bridging the gap between private and public healthcare services, through offering quality healthcare at affordable and transparent packaged prices.

The Arup team was acclaimed for its systematic approach to plan and manage this highly complex project, from design management, procurement and contractual arrangement to cost control and construction management. This ensured the project to achieve its designed ambitions within the approved budget, quality and safety requirements.
