Four Arup engineers have been named in The Telegraph’s Top 50 UK female engineers under 35 list– more than any other firm.
Geotechnical engineer Áine Ní Bhreasail, civil engineer Louise Ellis, lighting designer Pavlina Akritas and structural engineer Victoria Richardson were all acknowledged. They were selected by a distinguished panel of judges from 500 nominations and are considered among the UK’s most influential female engineers. Arup is the only firm to have four engineers recognised in this year’s ‘Top 50 Women in Engineering under 35’ list.
The list is produced by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) in collaboration with The Telegraph to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day on 23rd of June. The list aims to inspire the next generation of women into engineering; currently less than 10 per cent of engineering professionals in the UK are women.
