The Top 50 Women in Engineering (WE50) Awards, organised annually by the Women’s Engineering Society, celebrates women engineers making a significant contribution to the profession.
This year's list recognizes individuals who demonstrate leadership, technical excellence and a commitment to driving inclusion across the industry.
The 2025 theme, #TogetherWeEngineer, celebrates the strength of diverse thinking and the importance of collaboration in solving global challenges.
Rachel Paley and Jolie Lau were both named in this year’s Top 50.
Rachel Paley, Senior Consultant in Technical Services, said: “Recognizing women in our everyday work gives us a moment to pause and reflect on what we’ve achieved. ‘Together We Engineer’ means taking time to share knowledge, listen to others and ensure our work positively influences all members of society.”
The WE50 awards program aims to celebrate excellence in a broad range of engineering roles, raise awareness of women’s critical impact on the engineering landscape and encourage collaboration, innovation and social impact.
Jolie Lau, Façade Engineer, said: “This recognition shows how our profession is strengthened by our collective diversity. Good engineering begins when we stop asking who belongs in the room and start asking what perspectives are missing.”
