Arup’s East Asia Resilience, Security and Risk team has been honoured with the Outstanding Security Team award at the 2023 Southeast Asia Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs).
The OSPAs is an independent global award scheme that aims to recognise and reward companies, people, and innovation across the security sector. It was first launched in Norway in 2015 and runs in 29 countries currently. This year marks its inaugural edition in Southeast Asia.
Leveraging on Arup’s cross-disciplinary expertise, the team champions a holistic approach to security planning and management. Trusted by both private and public sector clients, our Resilience, Security and Risk services encompass a wide range of projects, including aviation facilities, high-rise buildings, transport hubs and data centres. By seamlessly integrating physical and cyber security strategies from concept through design to operations and maintenance, our designs empower organisations to fortify the protection of their people, assets and services against ever-evolving threats.
One recent project that exemplifies the team’s innovation is the development of an AI-driven security management system for a major sports and leisure infrastructure project in Hong Kong. This cutting-edge design incorporates data from diverse security systems, including advanced video analytics, access control, and intrusion detection. By harnessing these technologies, we provide data-driven insights to site operators, delivering a competitive advantage to their operations.
