Arup has relocated to a new office at Twenty3 Brunswick Place in the heart of Southampton – following 40 years of supporting clients across the South Coast from our previous base in Winchester.
This move enables the firm to support both Southampton’s urban regeneration – and that of the wider Central South region – as opportunities continue to emerge from devolution, freeport status, maritime decarbonisation, and clean energy.
The move builds on Arup’s long-term commitment to Hampshire and the Solent. Situated opposite East Park, the Southampton team of over 80 designers, engineers and consultants provides strategic advice to regional decision-makers, driving sustainable regeneration and renewal.
At Brunswick Place, a short walk from Southampton Central station, enables closer collaboration with clients and partners on projects that create lasting value for local communities. Arup’s portfolio in the region includes the redevelopment of the University of Southampton’s North East Quadrant, the retrofit of the University’s Business School and the people centred design of Maggie’s Cancer Centre.
In addressing challenges of historic inequality, ageing populations, skills shortages and resilience in the face of climate change, Arup combines global expertise with local knowledge accumulated over decades of work across the South. This insight informs approaches that benefit communities and strengthen local economies through design and advice that promotes inclusive, place-based and nature-positive growth.
