For the seventh year running, Arup is proud to have been named one of the Greater Toronto Area’s (GTA’s) top employers by the Greater Toronto Top Employers competition organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc.

Employers are evaluated against eight criteria that include physical workplace; work atmosphere and social life; health, financial, and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement. They are also evaluated against other organizations in their industry and selected based on outstanding human resource programming and forward-thinking, inclusive workplace practices.

This year, Arup was recognized for:

  • Offering profit-sharing for all employees as well as generous referral bonuses for employees who successfully refer a candidate from their personal network

  • Helping employees balance personal and professional commitments with a variety of flexible work arrangements including hybrid arrangements, flexible hours, compressed work weeks and a telecommuting option giving employees the ability to work in a different country for up to 20 working days during a 12-month rolling period
