Arup Principal Jonathan Griffin is stepping into the role of Advisory Leader, Australasia.
Jonathan’s appointment comes at an exciting time to help Arup focus on meeting the increased demand for advisory services that support embedding sustainability in the built environment across infrastructure, property, and transport to the transition to cleaner energy.
After more than 20 years with Arup, Jonathan will lead a team of around 150 professionals across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. His background includes advisory, engineering and major project delivery, with leading roles in the promotion, development and delivery of major transport and social infrastructure projects and programs in Australia, the UK and Papua New Guinea. His cross-sector experience encompasses rail, light rail, maritime, aviation, highways, water, educational and justice facilities and he continues to support major projects such as North East Link. Jonathan helped lead the establishment of Arup’s Advisory Services business and brings a proven track record in growing new services and market offerings.
