Taipei is the largest city and economic and cultural hub of Taiwan. Arup has over 20 years of experience in Taiwan, and in 2010 we formally established an office in Taipei given our extended portfolio of projects in the region.

As early as the 1980s, Arup was involved in multiple projects in Taiwan including Taipei Metro, drawing support from our global network of offices, and offering the full scope of multi-disciplinary services.

We are currently providing multi-disciplinary services to Taipei Performing Arts Centre and Taichung Convention Centre Mixed-use Development, combining arts with science to bring economic vitality and social well-being to the region. We have been appointed to provide engineering design for Xingyi D3 development, a high-end residential project.

We are working with a local consultant to integrate the green concepts, energy-saving technology and low-carbon emission measures for a total solution on the Taichung Eco-Science Park. We are also masterplanning Hsingchu Eco-community, a high-end residential and hotel development that incorporates sustainable development strategies and targets to achieve an LEED® certification.
