Living Bridge, University of Limerick – Spanning 350 metres, the Living Bridge is the longest pedestrian bridge in Ireland.

We have been delivering landmark projects since our foundation in 1946, when Ove Arup teamed up with a local architect, Michael Scott of Scott Tallon Walker. The design of Busáras, the Irish national bus company headquarters, was Arup's first project in Ireland. This represents outstanding importance in the history of Irish architecture.

Ove Arup set up Arup's first overseas office in Dublin in 1946 at the request of a local architect and has been delivering landmark engineering projects ever since across Ireland.

Today, we have over 300 highly-qualified and experienced engineers and staff working from our office in Dublin 4. We have been involved in many significant projects that have helped to shape and create the vibrant, modern city that Dublin is today. More recent projects include the award winning Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport, the M50 motorway, Swords BRT Scheme and the Tallaght and Clondalkin Movement Framework Plans, helping to shape the modern infrastructure of the city and surrounding areas. Our involvement with many of Dublin’s universities, including UCD and TCD spans a number of decades.
