Seoul

Arup established a permanent office in Seoul in 1999. The local office co-ordinates with clients in Korea, and imports various disciplines from our global network to deliver tailored design, engineering and consulting services.

Our portfolio in Seoul includes many high profile office buildings such as Samsung Headquarters and Amore Pacific Headquarters. Our innovative solutions helped realise some of the most recognisable art and cultural icons in the city including Leeum Museum of Art - a rare combination of three museum buildings each designed by a world-class architect, and Dongdaemun World Design Park and Complex with Zaha Hadid’s signature curves.

We were heavily involved in the design and development of the New Songdo City, a groundbreaking smart city built on the reclaimed land Southwest of Seoul.

As Korea begins its drive for a sustainable future, Arup continues to contribute its expertise in building sustainability and LEED® certification to clients. Our signature projects in this field include Songdo Convention Centre, the first LEED certified convention centre in Asia; and Samsung GREEN TOMORROW, the first LEED Platinum-certified project in Asia.
