The Calgary office is our third in Canada, representing Arup’s continued effort to offer and expand its expertise across the country. In 2016, Arup created a temporary project office in Calgary to support the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. In recent years, as the Centre neared a significant completion milestone and Alberta entered a landmark transition toward clean energy, we recognized the need for a greater presence in the province. In fall 2023, we made our Calgary office a permanent one. 

Home to some of Canada’s largest national parks, including the Canadian Rockies, along with a sunny and windy climate, Alberta is at a key transition point with important assets to protect and develop. As the province continues to evolve and progress its commitment to net zero by 2050, Arup’s presence will be of value in the renewable energy, healthcare, education, and transportation sectors, all of which seek to support and uplift the nation’s communities. 

As Calgary continues to grow as a vibrant metropolis and hub for the province, we look forward to shaping the future of the city with our clients and partners.
