Arup’ s office in Montreal is one of two offices in Canada and features a team of more than 90 engineers, planners, and consultants who are working on key built-environment projects in Montreal, in Quebec, and throughout the globe.
Arup’s presence in Montreal is evident from its work designing passenger and airline spaces at Montreal’s YUL airport, the iconic Samuel-De Champlain Bridge spanning the St. Lawrence River, as well as current projects aiming to decarbonize existing buildings and design new projects with a net zero footprint. Other current projects include the port expansion at Contrecoeur and the construction of the emblematic Île-d’Orléans Bridge. Arup has been implementing nature-friendly rainwater solutions for Montreal’s city parks and urban spaces and using digital innovation to design sustainable solutions in the built environment, including bridges, libraries, data centers, and train terminal stations. Arup’s award-winning projects in Montreal is a testimony to our global commitment to build resilient cities where a greater quality of life, social benefits, improved biodiversity, and connectivity are complementary goals.
