Since establishing an office in Port Louis in 1975, we have been involved in some of the most iconic building projects on the island, including the Mauritius Commercial Bank in Ebene. Now with around 115 staff, we offer structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and environmental engineering services to the private and public sectors.

Arup SIGMA (formerly SIGMA Consulting Engineers and SIGMA Ove Arup and Partners Ltd) has been established in Mauritius since 1975.
Arup's work in Mauritius includes landmark projects such as the Caudan Waterfront Development in Port Louis and the new MCB Building at Ebene. Arup has been integral to the development of the island's infrastructure from water supply and irrigation schemes, through to major highway projects such as the Grewals Junction at Pailles. The Anahita World Class Sanctuary, which included major coastal engineering works, showcases a significant portfolio of projects in the hotel and resort sector both in Mauritius and the Seychelles.
Local skills include the creation of environmental impact assessments for all types of development, including specialist schemes.
Arup's long-standing and strong presence in Mauritius ensures that the unique principles of the firm are applied locally in the most appropriate and relevant way. Business activities are conducted with a thorough understanding of the Mauritian regulatory framework, national development policies and local procurement and construction practices.
