Arup’s business in Stockton-on-Tees began over 15 years ago and has a specialist focus in infrastructure design, transport consulting, environmental consulting and town planning. The office, founded in 2005, is home to a team of engineers, planners, digital experts and technical advisors who have helped plan and engineer many of Tees Valley’s most important strategic plans and transport and infrastructure projects.

Our people in Stockton-on-Tees have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the local area. We help guide the development of towns, industry and countryside in the region, including transforming pedestrian and cycle connectivity in Stockton town centre, modernising the region’s major rail infrastructure at Darlington Station, and envisioning how the area can become globally significant in the production, consumption and export of low carbon hydrogen. Our work is at the heart of our local communities and has included supporting local authorities to drive economic growth, improve connectivity and regeneration, and contributing to an improved quality of life for the people of Tees Valley.
