I am a Chartered Civil Engineer leading Arup’s UK service offering on Regenerative Land Management (RLM). RLM delivers a layered land management approach to urban, peri-urban or rural land areas.  Given the emerging climate emergency and other challenges on significant resources, Arup are promoting the opportunities for land management and development, to support changes needed to mitigate these challenges. I lead a service which provides multiple benefits to the environment (such as biodiversity net gain, water quality and carbon sequestration) and social aspects of the land, whilst providing wider economic value to our Clients.

I have worked in the UK and abroad for both public sector and private sector clients. I have undertaken all aspects of the design process including project management; attending client, stakeholder & statutory consultee meetings; feasibility, outline and detailed design; tender design and evaluation; public consultation and site supervision.  I have specific experience in water, river, coastal and infrastructure design; flood catchment and land management. I also have experience in other areas including environmental impact assessment, contaminated land assessment, waste management; and ecological and archaeological studies. I bring a depth of understanding to how the impacts on land can be managed and mitigated through delivering integrated nature-based solutions.
