Arlene is an experienced operational consultant and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner with experience in both the public and private sector. She has worked in the UK, Australia, Peru and Kenya and is currently based in Arup’s Nairobi office.

In her 10 years at Arup, Arlene has led and contributed to the success of various high-profile projects and programmes across change management, service redesign, and the development of business cases to assess feasibility of projects. She was the lead transition advisor on the Peru Reconstruction Programme where she led the development of the programme wide operations and transition guide to support the transition planning of 15 healthcare care facilities undergoing reconstruction. She has also developed the concept of operations as part of the operational readiness planning for the Emergency Services Communication Programme in the UK.

Arlene has demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, across geographical boundaries, to deliver beneficial outcomes through her ability to effectively engage and understand stakeholders’ needs. Whilst in Kenya, she has worked with IDH to assess the current state of the textile, apparel and footwear sector in Kenya, and is developing a global assessment framework that examines the social and environmental aspects of industrial parks in Kenya, Vietnam and Ethiopia.
