Connor McGrath is a Senior Structural Engineer at Arup working in the Buildings team. He graduated from National University of Ireland, Galway in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Since joining Arup, he has worked on projects across a range of sectors, including education, science and industry, arts and culture, and healthcare. Key projects include St. James’ Gate Brewery, Rotunda Hospital and the Funicular Folly, a permanent pavilion/sculptural installation on the Ballinlough Estate in Co. Westmeath. Connor is also involved in International Development work. In 2015, he undertook structural surveys in Dhaka, Bangladesh on behalf of The Bangladesh Accord on Fire and Building Safety. In 2018, Connor volunteered as the Resident Engineer on a mudslide repair and seismic upgrade programme at the Druk White Lotus School in Ladakh, Northern India. In 2019, he received the International Engineer of the Year Award from Engineers Ireland.
