I’m an internationally experienced leader with sixteen years’ experience within the energy and automotive sectors, in the areas of project, technology and innovation management, corporate venturing, technology commercialisation, business development, strategy, team leadership, and operations.

I spent the first 10 years of my career working in automotive research and product development/deployment, in academia and Shell. This included management roles and two international postings in Japan and Germany.

In the past 6 years I have focussed on the low-carbon energy industry, in Shell developing transformational business strategies, leading collaborative industry projects, developing and managing internal research programmes, project and portfolio management responsibilities and leading internal and external corporate venturing activities. I have been the project director for a wind energy start-up company and provided independent consultancy.

I joined Arup in mid-2018 to focus on venturing, future energy transition, business/technology strategy, commercialisation and transformations.

My passion is for commercialising technologies, strategies and businesses in a global environment to enable the increased efficiency and decarbonisation of our energy system.
