As Arup’s Automation Leader, I focus on applying automation to improve outcomes for our clients and projects through greater consistency, rapid iteration and visualisation techniques.

I also lead Digital Services for the Americas, where we combine Arup’s deep knowledge of the built environment with new technologies to delight users and improve our clients’ businesses.

I am passionate about applying the best in digital technology to increase collaboration and create solutions that support a more sustainable future. As part of this commitment, I work with leaders across the firm to expand our approach to sustainable development, digital services and skills development.

Since joining Arup as a graduate, my technical focus has been on energy modeling, mechanical engineering design and sustainable consulting. I have led multiple complex interdisciplinary building projects. I also led the establishment of Arup University in the Americas, developing learning and managing research.

As an industry leader, I have chaired the United States Green Building Council, Urban Green Council, and gave the CIBSE 2016 Annual Lecture ‘How building services engineers can save civilization’, and co-authored Two Degrees: The Built Environment and our Changing Climate.
