Frank Freudenberger is an Associate Principal and Structural Engineer based in Arup’s Los Angeles office. Since joining Arup in 2003, Frank has delivered challenging and complex structures around the globe such as transportation facilities, high-rise structures, museums, acute care healthcare facilities in seismically active zones, and stadiums. Notable recent projects include the Loma Linda University Health Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus and the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Frank’s experience encompasses all common procurement methods including fast track design build delivery, and he combines hands-on engineering knowledge with the use of automation tools and digital project delivery, including 3D steel documentation models. He is committed to greatly reducing the embodied carbon content in new and retrofitted structures through the use of mass timber and the implementation of passive damping systems. Frank is part of the Arup’s West Region Structural Leadership Group.
