I am a chartered civil engineer with over fifteen years’ experience in the Arup International Development Group leading their work in social and sustainable infrastructure.

My career has included designing and evaluating a wide range of buildings globally, and I have developed a vast range of experience providing strategic and technical advice to clients on improving construction environments to increase resilience and reduce vulnerability of communities.

I believe in a consultative approach to designing buildings and infrastructure which recognises the process is as important as the product; thereby creating local ownership and building local capacity as well as delivering quality infrastructure.

I am passionate about developing safe and resilient education infrastructure and addressing the global challenges we face in tackling climate change, poverty and urbanisation and recognise that engineering plays a fundamental role in facilitating human development.
