I am an architect-turned-façade-consultant with over 20 years' experience. For the last eight of those years, I have worked at Arup collaborating on projects with Zaha Hadid, Foster & Partners, Rogers Stirk Harbour and Herzog & de Meuron.

I am passionate about the evolution of façades from traditional passive and active roles to genuinely responsive building envelopes. Also as someone who has worked on both sides of projects, I'm interested in how designers can positively influence the construction process through better communication and interaction at all stages of a project.

My mission to develop the growing profession of façade engineering extends beyond my work for Arup. My blog Façades Confidential encourages and welcomes new members to the trade.
