I am a chartered engineer with over 15 years’ experience and I am part of the multi-disciplinary Building Engineering Midlands group in Solihull.
My background is structural engineering and my technical expertise and experience cover various sectors including government, commercial, industry, education and retail. I had an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects from concept through to completion in the UK and overseas, fulfilling Structural Engineer, Project Manager and Design Manager roles. I am the project manager co-ordinating Arup’s multidisciplinary Lead Engineer role for the design of Paradise Birmingham. In the past, I have been a project manager with responsibility for Arup’s civil and structural design of the Main Campus Library at the University of Birmingham.
My approach to design and delivery management is one that focusses on empowering teams to work to a common goal and take ownership of the project. I am passionate about building strong cohesive teams that collaborate with high levels of efficiency in order to deliver excellent designs to the highest levels of quality and to program. My experience in client-facing roles allows me to manage, coordinate and integrate project needs fluently and successfully, encouraging engagement with all team members across disciplines and within all teams throughout each project stage.
