Joanna Rowelle leads Arup's Cities, Planning and Design services in the UK, India, Middle East and Africa.

In her role, she leads economic development and regeneration projects linked to infrastructure investment, masterplans and strategic city plans. She also advises city governments on a wide range of topics including infrastructure investment, airport cities, regeneration and economic policy.

Prior to joining Arup in 2013, Joanna was the Assistant Director for Regeneration for the Mayor of London. This role included overseeing multiple regeneration programmes across London with a focus on infrastructure including Crossrail, economic development and high streets.
