Jochem is New Zealand Engineering Team Leader and brings a wealth of experience in the structural design, design management and delivery of heavy civil, rail, underground and maritime works across New Zealand, Australia and Asia.

He brings construction experience through full time site-based roles and uses technical ingenuity combined with his design and construction knowledge to deliver successful outcomes for projects. 

Jochem is currently the Design and Project Manager of the large Central Interceptor tunnel project where Arup is the lead consultant supporting the GA-JV.

Jochem has a diverse range of experience following various roles and various types of projects and contracts. Jochem has underground construction design experience on metro projects in both Singapore and Malaysia and was the interface design manager and deputy project manager for the KL MRT Line 2 project.

He was the structures lead for the reference design of a new LRT line in Auckland from the city to the airport and site phase services manager for three LNG jetties and a Materials Offloading Facility in Gladstone.

Jochem holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and Master of Engineering Management. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia, Charted Member of Engineering New Zealand (CMEngNZ) Member, IntPE(Aus) and on the National Professional Engineers Register (NPER).
