Jorge Valenzuela

Principal, Advisory Services

I am a principal at Arup and have more than two decades of experience in investments, asset management, and the project management of real estate assets. My expertise comprises financial and technical advisory for the development, investment, and financing of public infrastructure and real estate projects, with particular proficiency in public-private partnerships (P3s).

At Arup, I lead the Business & Investor Advisory business for San Francisco and I have directed engagements in the US and many Latin American countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. I have participated in more than 25 major mergers and acquisitions and project finance deals, and I have been project director for a range of consulting engagements including toll roads, airports, transmission lines, energy generation, and social infrastructure.

Before joining Arup, I was a director of asset management for a portfolio of institutional commercial real estate properties. In addition, I have 10 years of experience in construction management and real estate development. I'm a civil engineer, with a master’s in construction management, and an MBA from UC Berkeley.

Outside of work, I'm passionate about traveling, playing and composing music, and soccer.
