Joyanne is Arup's Global Waste and Resource Management Leader, having joined the firm in 1999 as part of the Environmental Team in Dublin. In 2011, she moved to Brisbane, joining the Programme and Project Management (PPM) team to lead the Project Management Office for the Arup consortium delivering $1bn of road rehabilitation following the Queensland floods in 2011. She went on to lead a 40-strong PPM and Planning team in Brisbane and received industry recognition for her leadership roles.

More recently, Joyanne has led the growth of the Resource and Waste Management business in Australasia – one of the strongest and most dynamic emerging businesses in the Region. She is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Ireland, a certified practicing Project Director with the Australian Institute of Project Management, a Regional Skills leader for Resource and Waste Management, and has been part of the Australasian Diversity and Inclusion Executive leading and contributing to the gender equity portfolio.
