Katherine Perez is a Principal and Arup's Los Angeles Office Leader. She is an expert with 25 years of experience in urban planning and transportation, overseeing our major pursuit efforts in Los Angeles. With her diverse background in real estate development, alternative procurement delivery, and social infrastructure, Katherine is leading complex decarbonization and electrification projects including several sponsored by the California Energy Commission for the cities of Long Beach and National City. Since joining Arup in 2017, her valued insights have been integral to numerous efforts including planning for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 Olympic Games and supporting LA Metro by identifying funding that supports their sustainability programs from federal, state, and local sources. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Mercy Housing. For over 15 years, Katherine has served as an adjunct associate professor at University of Southern California teaching in the Sol Price School of Public Policy.
