An experienced technical advisor, programme manager and project director, Katie has successfully led the development of strategy, planning and delivery for a wide variety of healthcare programmes and projects across three continents.

She also leads our UK operations consulting team, bringing together Arup's technical, people and process expertise and combining local capability with global best practice. The team develop ways of working to optimise the operations of our clients’ businesses and projects, implementing solutions that encompass sustainability and innovation.

Katie is currently supporting the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC) programme in the United Kingdom. This involves the creation of a 21st century clinical rehabilitation centre of excellence comprising two elements: a Defence establishment for injured service men and women and a National facility for the general population.

Beyond healthcare, Katie has a growing interest in how the built environment can support health and wellbeing. With the research base rapidly growing, optimising health and wellbeing aligns very closely with Arup’s overall purpose of shaping a better world.
