I work in the Advanced Technology and Research group at Arup. This is a great place to be because it gives me the opportunity to engage with a broad range of clients and many different project challenges.

My professional training was as a civil engineer, but through a doctorate, a career at BRE, and subsequently Arup, I moved to specialise in systems analysis using tools like Lifecycle Analysis and Multirregional Input Output Analysis to understand the environmental challenges of product and material supply chains, of buildings and infrastructure, organisations and their operation, and at the regional or sector scale.

My work has been used to inform policy and strategy, guide design projects, advise governments, sectors and organisations, as well as support product development programmes.
