Kym is an acoustic engineer and specialises in measuring, predicting and assessing noise and vibration from industry and transport infrastructure.

Based in Melbourne, he's worked on major highway and railway projects in Australia, the UK and the US, and written guidelines for the assessment of wind turbine noise in Victoria. For the last 6 years, Kym has been a member of the Australian Government’s Independent Scientific Committee on Wind Turbines.

Kym became an Arup Fellow in 2022, and aim to use his Fellowship to help guide and develop the younger engineers and consultants around Arup, so that we, together as a community, can positively influence the projects we work on and the world around us.
