Lewis’s career with Arup is diverse – in locations, projects, and people.

Since joining Arup in the UK in 2006, Lewis has worked from various offices worldwide, including London, Melbourne and Perth. Lewis has worked on projects in transport infrastructure, maritime and energy sectors, at all stages, from advisory to end of project life. He has in-depth experience with various project delivery methods, including collaborative contracting. 

Working collaboratively and building strong relationships with his peers and clients, one of Lewis’ strengths is integrating multiple stakeholders and effectively leading large, multidisciplinary teams for large, complex projects. 

Lewis is focused on leading, growing and diversifying the region to maintain a sustainable business that delivers excellence to clients while living its values and serving its purpose. 

Passionate about empowering others to progress and be successful, Lewis helps mentor and develop our people while ensuring a consistent approach.

Lewis is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), a Fellow of Engineers Australia (FIEAust), registered with the National Professional Engineers Register (NPER), a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng MICE) and an Associate Member of the City & Guilds Institute (ACGI).

He completed Leadership Victoria's Williamson Leadership Program in 2019 and has published and presented several conference papers, including Planning and Design of Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon (ICE Breakwaters conference 2017), Fremantle Rail and Traffic Bridges Pier Protection Improvements (Coasts & Ports 2017, Cairns) and Brisbane Airport Link: Analysis and Design of a Two Span Arch Cut & Cover Structure (NUMGE 2010 – Numerical Methods in Geotechnical Engineering).
