I am a senior transport planner with extensive experience in various aspects of transport planning in the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and Turkey. My experience has seen me lead projects in the field of road design, transport assessments, transport modelling and cycle and pedestrian planning.

I have a particular interest in the importance of walking and cycling in our towns and cities. As an avid cyclist, my passion for cycling goes beyond my work; encouraging the people around me to make more sustainable mobility choices is part of my daily mantra. My background in planning helps me to understand the complexity of the urban environment that shapes preconditions for these sustainable mobility choices. My experience has seen me lead projects in the field of road design, pedestrian planning, traffic assessment and transport modelling.

The foundation of my knowledge about cycling lies in the Netherlands. Working for Arup has meant that I am now able to apply my knowledge in other parts of the world. In my work, I always strive to help shape urban spaces to make cycling, walking and other sustainable mobility modes the most obvious choice of transport.
