Marcos Sanchez is a bridge and structural engineer with significant experience in the detail design and design management of mid to long span bridges. He has directed several projects through all stages from planning, conceptual design, detailed design to design support for site offices during construction. He also has extensive experience in the retrofit and assessment of existing structures.

Since joining Arup in 2014, Marcos has been involved in numerous projects worldwide, using many types of structural systems and construction methods, such as balanced cantilever, arches, cable stayed structures, as well as various materials, such as reinforced and prestressed concrete, orthotropic steel and steel-concrete composite bridge. Recent projects include the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge on the N25 New Ross Bypass, Mary Elmes Bridge and the N6 Galway City Ring Road.
