Marcos Sanchez is a civil and structural engineer with significant experience in large infrastructure projects, focusing on the design of mid and long span bridges. He leads our Bridge Engineering practice in Europe. Over the last 25 years, Marcos has led the design and construction of bridges and other civil structures through all stages from planning, conceptual design, detailed design to erection engineering and site office support during construction. He also has extensive experience in the retrofit and assessment of existing structures.

Since joining Arup in 2014, Marcos has been involved in numerous projects worldwide. Recent projects include the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge on the N25 New Ross Bypass, Mary Elmes Bridge and Nordhavn light rail viaduct in Copenhagen.
