I am a senior climate change consultant in Arup’s Advanced Digital Engineering team in London. My main area of expertise is in climate change resilience and I have more than 10 years’ experience in the field. I have worked across different sectors and geographies to assess climate change impacts and develop strategies to enhance resilience. I am currently working on the Peru Reconstruction Programme, helping inform how to embed climate change in the design of flood defences infrastructure.

Climate science is a quickly evolving field. I thoroughly enjoy working on projects which bridge the gap between climate science and real-world applications to deliver more robust, sustainable and resilient outcomes. A recent project I worked on was the Future of urban consumption in a 1.5 C world report, looking at how cities consumption-based emissions need to reduce to avoid a climate breakdown, focusing on six sectors. Another notable project I have been involved in was the Chinese Climate Service Partnership to develop a climate change risk assessment tool for infrastructure, which aims to bring together climate change knowledge and data with expertise on infrastructure vulnerabilities.

Drawing on my expertise in climate change, I am passionate about embedding future climate research and findings in all our projects to support a climate resilient and sustainable future. I was proud to be recognised as an engineering hero in the 2021 Top 50 Women in Engineering Awards.
