I’m currently a Chief Town Planner in the Hong Kong office with key focus of my Cities work in Hong Kong and Macau.

Apart from being the team leader for private-sector planning projects, I’m also involved in master planning and new town planning of various public sector feasibility/planning and engineering studies in Hong Kong. In recent years, I’ve expanded our planning business to Macau and have been the lead person for various Macau Government projects, in particular the Macau Master Plan, the first Strategic Master Plan guiding the future of Macau city.

I’ve also taken part in advocating new planning concepts to clients including Smart Green Resilient in the NTN Study and incorporating the United Nations’ SDG17 in the Macau Master Plan. Recently, I am focusing my expertise in district-based urban regeneration studies in Hong Kong for the Urban Renewal Authority, and is proactively looking for innovative planning tools to facilitate the pace of urban renewal while retaining re-owned local culture and network.

Starting in April 2022, I’m currently the East Asia’s Skills Network Leader and Business Service Portfolio Leader on ‘Social Value’ to promote inclusive, equitable and just society. This role is responsible for developing Arup’s capacity and business opportunities in consideration of social value in planning and infrastructure projects, as well as new tools for public engagement.
