Neil is the technical and team leader for ecology, biodiversity and nature, based in London. Neil has twenty five years of experience in ecological consultancy, based in both the UK and Australia, and has worked for Arup for approaching twenty years. He is a Chartered Environmentalist and Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, with specialisms in green infrastructure and masterplanning design and biodiversity net gain. Neil is a recognised industry expert, a long-standing member of CIEEM’s Professional Standards Committee and In Practice Editorial Board, collaborator with the UK Green Building Council and Ellen McArthur Foundation, and actively seeks to raise standards and drive best practice across the sector. He has considerable experience in a wide range of industries, strategic and environmental assessments, and of large-scale, multi-national infrastructure projects in particular.
