Paula Walsh is the Chair of Arup for the UK, India, Middle East and Africa, overseeing a 7,000-strong team which delivers engineering, advisory, planning, and design services across a wide range of markets including energy, water, property, and transport. 

Paula joined Arup as a structural engineering graduate in 1989 and has over 30 years’ experience working with local, national and international clients and collaborators to create built assets in many sectors for the benefit of the building users, operators and the wider community. Much of Paula’s recent work has focused on major developments in London, including 2 Aldermanbury Square, 52 Lime Street, More London, the Ebury Bridge Estate regeneration in Victoria and the ongoing transformation of the Kings Cross area.

Paula is passionate about redefining expectations of quality living and working environments, partnering with clients and collaborators to deliver high impact outcomes that push the boundaries on innovation, social value, sustainability, and inclusivity.
