I’m an urban designer specialising in bringing trans-disciplinary perspectives to city design, making cities more resilient, sustainable and equitable. I thrive on integrating this work with specialisms like health, infrastructure, transport, planning and landscape.
An architect and urban designer by training, I have always sought broader ways of making a positive difference to people in cities, especially in developing countries. This is why I joined Arup initially in 2008, to work on complex and large scale urban projects in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia.
I am currently working on a City Resilience Index, developed by Arup supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, helping make resilience tangible, practical and globally applicable to cities.
